Singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and 5 Seconds of Summer frontman Luke Hemmings has unveiled a new song, Place In Me. The release arrives alongside an official visualiser, directed by Kris Moyes, where we find Hemmings situated within a blue realm.
The track offers another side to the musician, creating an intimate and vulnerable moment. Swapping out more considered production for acoustic-led sonics, the track brings honest and conversation lyricism, as the musician searches for a second chance, longing for connection, strength and the embrace of another.
Taken from his forthcoming debut solo record, When Facing the Things We Turn Away From, the track serves as the third taste from the album, following Starting Line and Motion.
Written throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, When Facing the Things We Turn Away From is set to showcase sonic and conceptual growth from the 5SOS frontman, with the musician sharing that the record "allowed me to decipher the last 10 years of my life and help me make sense of the person I am today and how I got here".
When Facing the Things We Turn Away From is out August 13. Watch the visual for Place In Me below.
