Australian artist, Livy B has dropped her debut single, Sugar Rush.
The musical project of Australian Idol contestant Olivia Britton, the track introduces us to the singers pop-rock sound, inspired by the likes of Paramore, Olivia Rodrigo and G Flip. Produced by Ionei Heckenburg of Ocean Sleeper, the track is built upon sparse production, a bubbling bass line and zesty guitar work, woven together beneath Britton's commanding vocal performance. The empowering track is presented from a 'no-nonsense' standpoint, with the singer taking control standing on business whilst also presenting her lighter side.
"Sugar Rush can mean so many different things, it’s cheeky and fun. I want people to feel empowered by this song. Don't be afraid to tell people what you want!" Britton shares. "This single has been a real journey to create... I feel it is the perfect mix of fun, personality, a touch of sarcasm, and my pop rock style; a great introduction to me!"
Britton is set to hit the stage over the coming months, supporting Reece Mastin on May 2 in Frankston, Victoria, before performing at Emo Deluxe on May 16 in Albury.
Sugar Rush is out now!
