Thai rapper, singer, dancer Lisa is the latest member of BLACKPINK to go it solo, following in the footsteps of her bandmates, Jennie and Rosé. Billed as a single album, the explosive two-track release, LALISA is a re-introduction to the singer and arrives alongside a cinematic visual for the title track.

Meandering between rapped bars and commanding vocals, the release is produced by BLACKPINK’s frequent collaborators Teddy Park, 24, Bekuh Boom and R.Tee, who bring the same energy of the group to the singers solo effort. When compared to her bandmates solo releases, LALISA is a safe bet from the singer and YG Entertainment, but leaves room for big things from Lisa.

With billions of streams and views to their name, BLACKPINK have cemented themselves as one of the most successful girl groups of all time. Outside of the group, Lisa has become “the most-followed K-Pop star on Instagram”, as well as gaining the most subscribers for a K-Pop female artist on YouTube. Over the weekend, Lisa made her debut live solo performance on NBC’s Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
