Australian singer-songwriter Lawson Hull is back with his new track, Mexico. Following on from his debut EP, Dreaming Is Easy, Hull continues his fusion of folk and pop sonics on the track, creating a dreamlike soundscape.
Written during COVID lockdown, the track conceptually daydreams of being somewhere else, whilst also lusting for their crush to join them and see the worlds wonders. Set atop a mesmerising guitar line, Hull's dreamy vocals mesmerise as the track plays out. "It’s about someone’s daydream - hoping there’s a chance with their crush,' Hull says of the track.
On Dreaming Is Easy, Hull brought vulnerable lyricism that navigates the multifaceted avenues of heartbreak, the breakdown of relationships as well as new love and self doubt, the emotion stirring release offers moments of reflection, allowing listeners something to grasp onto and relate to. Hull crafts six tracks of pure musical mastery, whilst also carving out his own place within the Australian music industry.
Mexico is out now! Listen to the track below.
