Australian alt-folk songwriter Lawson Hull is back with his new single, Wanna Be

With You. The track serves as the first taste of the musicians forthcoming EP, Mountain Days, which co-produced with Riley Pearce.

Opening with lulling guitar melodies, the songs down-tempo soundscape provides a warm sonic glow that offers comfort through relaxed percussion and effortless production. Hull's enchanting vocals flow above, wrapping themselves around you like the embrace of a loved one whilst bringing intimate story-telling lyricism to life. Across the track, the musician explores the thrill of young love and seeing your future with one another. The song arrives alongside an official visual, filmed and edited by Angus Bell Young.

"I feel like writing a love song never gets old, although, this song is more about the whirlwind of first-encounters,” Hull explains. “Yes, they’re easy to write and can’t really go wrong, but the best love songs put you in the scene, like it’s about the listener. If you can show a sense of earnestness and paint the picture of growing old with your lover, I think you’ve done a good thing. You want people to believe it’s real, so you thread specific memories throughout the song."
