British songstress Laurel has treated us with new music ahead of her Australian tour. Set to return to our shores later this month, the singer has dropped her new single, Change.
Laced with ear-worm synth melodies and Laurel's enchanting vocals, the track continues the singers foray into experimental-pop established on her two-part EP series Limbo Cherry and Petrol Bloom. The track explores the want to hold on to a relationship heading for its demise.
“Change is about the end of a relationship,” the singer explains. “You’re holding on and telling each other you will change if only you could have one more chance. In the end, it’s always just words, living in a fantasy, scared to let go of the dream rather than the person.”
Laurel will hit the stage at Groovin The Moo in Wayville, Maintland, Canberra, Bendigo, the Sunshine Coast and Bunbury across April and May, as well as hosting headline shows in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth. Tickets to all shows are on sale now.
