Gomeroi rapper Kobie Dee is hitting the road! The musician has today announced his Gomeroi Nation Tour, in partnership with Jackson Street and Create NSW. Across the tour, Kobie will enlist local First Nations talent to join each stop, with each show taking place in outdoor settings to ensure maximum COVID-19 safety for all guests.

Kicking off in Tamworth on March 13, the regional run of free shows will continue on to Narrabri, Walgett and Boggabilla, before wrapping up on March 19 in Moree with a block party, alongside Triple One, Nter, Nooky and more. The Moree event is supported by Just Reinvest NSW, Aboriginal Employment Strategy and the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence.

Speaking of the tour, the musician shares: “The Gomeroi Nation Tour is an opportunity for me to perform on my Country. This means a lot to me from a cultural and healing perspective, performing on Country and telling my stories through music and dance, passing on knowledge, experience and wisdom like my ancestors have for thousands of years… I want to role model a way forward and show that if I can do it, they can do it too. I want to bring people and communities together in celebration and for fun, and give them an opportunity to escape their worries, trauma and hardships for one night with all expenses covered and all access granted.”

Kobie Dee recently joined Nooky's We Are Warriors, a cultural movement and platform that aims to inspire and empower Indigenous youth by connecting them with First Nations role models. The musician joins Barkaa, Charlee Fraser, Felicia Foxx, Luke Currie-Richardson and Nooky himself as an ambassador for the platform.
