Melbourne based pop-R&B artist JXN has enlisted Australian pop-R&B artist Reyanna Maria on his new single, Nintendo. Written alongside Andrew Hopkins (Hauskey), the release is accompanied by a retro inspired visual.
On the track, JXN navigates the confusion of love and mixed signals, trying to decipher if his new flame is playing games, before Maria flips the track on its head with her dulcet vocals admits love is just a game. JXN's smooth vocals simmer above bubbling pop-R&B sonics, with the pair engaging in a push-and-pull brought to life by glistening melodies.
"We wrote Nintendo 3 years ago. It’s been one of my favs ever since Andy, Soph and I wrote it. We just needed another voice. When I heard Reyanna's music I knew she was the one. She killed it!” JXN SHARES. “This is a fun bop about girls playing games, and her flip is she admits it in her verse and loves it. It’s full of 90s vibes and nostalgic vocals and visuals.”
Making his debut in 2018 with his captivating track Solitude, JXN has since collaborated with the likes of New York rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Bronx rapper A$AP Twelvyy on Red Lights and Going Off respectively. Last year saw the release of his debut EP, Never A Sad Adventure, which featured the single Outta Space, which saw JXN team up with Australian artists, Allday and Fossa Beats. Love Sux is the singers second release under his new label home, Australian indie label City Pop Records.
