Melbourne-based dance-pop duo Juno Disco have returned with their new single, You’re So Hung Up On My Colours. The track was produced by the duo and Joe Carra (King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Pond).
Comprised of Nick Bond and Albert Salt, the duo bring funk-laden synth basslines, sparkling chimes and ethereal vocals to the track, showcasing their engrossing songwriting and ingenious sampling. Infused with intricate rhythms playfully that playfully intertwine within one another, You’re So Hung Up On My Colours is an amalgamation of cleverly produced dance music. Speaking of the track, the duo share: “This single is our ‘love-letter’ to the world of showbiz. It muses on what it means to be a musician or any kind of creative performer in this day and age, but also touches on some timeless truths about the entertainment industry.”
Speaking exclusively to MILKY about his solo EP 25 Not Doing Alright, the classically trained Salt teased new Juno Disco music, sharing: “We’ve got a new single out tomorrow called You’re So Hung Up On My Colours. Which is an absolute bop and we’ll have a new EP out next year. This new single has an absolute killer bass line and is a continuation of what we’ve been doing so far. Next year we’ll be heading in a slightly different and dancier direction.“
Known for their exciting, left-of-centre dance-pop, the duo have sold out multiple headline shows, supported LEISURE (NZ) and Luke Million, and played Australian festivals like Beyond The Valley and St Kilda Festival.
