Aussie singer-songwriter Jordan Laser has unveiled her latest single, the haunting indie-pop ballad, Slow Motion. Set atop a brooding soundscape, Laser's mesmerising vocals soar atop the heart-wrenching track.
Conceptually, the song documents and navigates the want to re-capture past feelings, searching for the reassurance that the feelings experienced for another person were meaningful, even after experiencing deceit and heartbreak.
Created in collaboration with Birds of Tokyo's Adam Spark, Laser shares of the experience: “I contacted him in 2015 because I loved some of his collaborations and really wanted to meet him/work with him on something. I had most of the parts for 'Slow Motion' but they'd just been sitting there half formed. He helped arrange the song and added the post chorus hook. I didn't really have a plan when I got to his place but within a few hours we had this incredible demo.”
Slow Motion is out now! Listen to the track below.
