Acclaimed Australian recording artist, Jack River has offered us another glimpse of her forthcoming record with Honey. The track is set to appear on the singers hotly-anticipated sophomore album, Endless Summer, due out this June.
Written with Matt Corby and Jarryd James, the track continues the singers nostalgic exploration, leaning into sixties-tinged psychedelia to create a mesmerising soundscape that unfurls beneath the singers mesmerising vocals. The track explores the idea of detachment and letting go of reality and the people you love.
“At the time I was thinking a lot about the idea of detachment from emotion, wondering about the lines between detachment, attachment and accountability, especially when it comes to relationships. When someone wants to detach from reality and emotion, what are the consequences in their relationship? The western obsession with meditation and mindfulness fascinates me, especially as a songwriter who relies on emotion.” the singer shares.
Endless Summer is out June 16! Watch the visual for Honey below.
