Earlier this month, south coast band Maple Mall released their latest single, Down This Way. We caught up with the four-piece to chat about the track, their upcoming show and so much more!

Blending together their influences of garage-rock and surf-rock, the track was one of the first songs written by frontman Mitch Ngawati for the band. After continuing to return to the song throughout 2020, the four-piece fine tuned the track into the song we hear today. Conceptually, the track navigates and examines feelings of isolation and loneliness and the decision of letting people in.

Having formed early last year after jamming together for fun, the four-piece began writing original songs, bringing together their vast musical influences. Since their formation, the band have performed with the likes of The Terrys, and are set to return to the stage tonight! The four-piece will be supporting Strawberry Swing at La La La's.
