Brit Award winning artist and producer Griff has joined forces with Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid to deliver their killer new single, Head On Fire.
The pop-mega track is the perfect feel-good tune for 2022, with both singers mesmerising vocals floating above nostalgic and bouncy sonics that could rival even the greatest of 90's pop collaborations. The song is all about falling in love and how one person can consume all your thoughts, and arrives alongside an official visual directed by CC Wade.
“I’ve looked up to Sigrid so much, especially as a young girl who broke through making powerful, credible pop music. So I was excited to hear she wanted to write. We hung out and made Head On Fire, this really fun, feel-good song, and I’m excited for the world to finally hear us on a track together.” Griff shares of the collaboration.
Sigrid adds: “Griff and I met sharing a pizza at the Rueben Selby show at Fashion Week in London, haha. We went to the studio a while later and just had a day of talking about life, before writing Head On Fire. It’s about that feeling when you meet someone who just flips everything upside down and you can’t focus on anything else but that person. Sarah’s just lovely, and it’s been so much fun working with her.”
Fresh off a massive year, Griff is still riding the high of her chart-topping mixtape, One Foot In Front Of The Other, heralded by the hit single Black Hole. Becoming a formidable force within the pop scene, the singer is currently working on new material for 2022 and is set to hit the road on her own world tour, and join global superstar Dua Lipa on her Future Nostalgia European tour. Sigrid made her debut with a bang, scoring a UK top 5 album with Sucker Punch. The singer is set to embark on her own tour of the UK, Ireland and Europe this year, marking her biggest shows yet.
