Wollongong indie-dance outfit Good Lekker are continuing their run of thrilling singles with the release of Something Better. The six-piece will be hitting the road again later this month, performing in Melbourne, Canberra Brisbane and Sydney in support of the track.
Speaking of Something Better, band member Alex Gray shares: “Something Better was inspired by the unpredictability of trying to succeed within the music industry. It also questions whether success is something that can be quantified within the creative realm. For Good Lekker, the track is somewhat of an ironic ode to this idea as we hope it brings us 'success', however that may be. The track aims to showcase Good Lekker’s pop sensibility whilst having the rawer rock and alternative roots the band knows and loves.”
Good Lekker burst on to the scene with their debut EP, which saw them tour the east coast of Australia with a string of sold out performances. No strangers to hitting the road, the band have embarked on multiple headline tours and supporting crowd favourites Boo Seeka and The Babe Rainbow, as well as slots at Australian boutique festivals Party in the Paddock, Yours & Owls, Sweaty Palms, FKA Festival and Garden Party.
