Golf Alpha Bravo is capping off the year with a new banger for your summer, SMOOTHIE. The track arrives alongside an equally engaging B-side, Melt Away.
Built upon captivating guitar melodies and driving percussion, the musicians mesmerising vocals simmer above surf-rock inspired sonics. Capturing all the fun of a summer road trip, SMOOTHIE is the perfect track for your chilled summer afternoons, living your best life after a year of lockdowns. The release is accompanied by an official visual, directed by Samuel Fisher (No Signal).
"It was definitely inspired by driving up the Pacific Coast Highway which stretches all along California. Even something as simple as going to get a smoothie, during peak lockdown times really gave a lens on what I really value, and what everyone does, which is personal freedom. I want to celebrate life and joy and if I can help people embrace their joie de vivre too that would be ideal.” the musician shares of the track. He adds, speaking of the visual, “If Jacques Cousteau was an Australian surfer lost at sea after a surf trip to Hawaii during the winter swells and then ran off course and collided with a Californian roller girl.”
The musician project of Jagwar Ma and Gh9stw99d‘s Gabriel Winterfield, Golf Alpha Bravo was debuted in 2019 when the musician toured alongside Greta Van Fleet and Dope Lemon. Last year, Winterfield debuted the first full-length record from Golf Alpha Bravo, The Sundog, a collection of live tracks, demos and b-sides. The musician will return to Australia early next year, performing at at The Northern in Byron Bay on February 4 and the Paddington RSL in Sydney on February 5.
