Rising Norwegian singer, songwriter and producer, girl in red, has shared another taste of her debut album if i could make it go quiet, due out this April.
Bringing her signature raw and poetic lyricism to the track, her latest single, Serotonin, offers listeners a glimpse into the musicians mind and psyche. The track was produced by Matias Tellez and GRAMMYⓇ Award winning musician FINNEAS.
Bursting onto the scene in 2018, girl in red has been working towards a full-length body of work, with each track on the album written entirely by the musician. Featuring the singles Rue and midnight love, the album is set to articulate the experience of modern youth in all its contradictions, whilst also resonating with listeners crossing different demographics.
Of the album, Ulven states: "if i could make it go quiet is an attempt to learn what it’s like to be human; to deal with the scariest parts of myself; to live with the pain of knowing i’m only flesh and bones; to be angry, broken and unforgiving yet still able to wear my heart on my sleeve; i’m shedding light on the darkest parts of my mind and i’m letting everyone in; if i could make it go quiet is me simply trying to understand what the fuck is going on."
if i could make it go quiet is out April 30. Listen to Serotonin below.
