Gold-Coast four-piece Girl and Girl are back with another taste of their forthcoming debut EP, sharing their new single, White Tiles.

Bringing their signature garage-rock sounds to the track, White Tiles sees the four-piece take a darker sonic approach, complete with eerie tones and mesmerising vocals. The track embodies 70’s and 80’s punk rock, with a darker twist, whilst conceptually navigating life, death and everything in between.

Speaking of the track, frontman Kai James shares: “It’s basically a nonchalant existential crisis and I wrote it on the white tiled floor of my ex-Brisbane granny flat, one stupidly hot afternoon when I was feeling rather impartial to all things life and death.”

Having performed in a number of bands throughout her life, Aunty Liss has teamed up with her nephew James, and his two friends Jayden Williams and Coby Williams to keep 70’s rock sounds alive in Australia! Having released a string of singles since their formation, the band have been working away on their debut EP, A Typical Friday Night (Shame, Sex and Misery). Having taken home first place at The Green Room Battle of the Bands on the Gold Coast in 2019, Girl and Girl have spent the past year performing to sold-out crowds across the greater coast.

White Tiles is out now!
