GEORGIE NEILSEN ANNOUNCES DEBUT EP + SHARES NEW SINGLE 'EYES WIDE OPEN'

Meanjin/Brisbane-based artist Georgie Neilsen has shared her new single, Eyes Wide Open. The track is set to appear on the singers debut EP, Suburban Daze, which is set to arrive next month.

Opening with strumming guitar melodies, Neilsen's captivating vocals flow above a spatial soundscape that builds towards an all-encompassing soulful-folk sonic palette that oozes with mesmerising harmonies, smooth melodic layers and driving rhythms. The track explores finding yourself again following a break up and regaining your independence, portrayed through honest and storytelling lyricism.

"Eyes Wide Open has gone through many forms. From a heavy guitar driven song to a solo soulful folk tune and through drawing influences from HAIM and Katy Perry it has transformed into a sweet and sassy bop about reclaiming power and independence post-heartbreak." Neilsen shares.
