Australian singer-songwriter George Alice is kicking off 2022 in a big way! The musician has today shared her brand new single Hold On, alongside the announcement of her debut EP! Set to arrive next month, Growing Pains will land just in time for the singers rescheduled Australian tour.

Produced by Japanese Wallpaper (Allday, MAY-A, Mallrat, Rostam) and Xavier Dunn (Client Liaison, Jack River, Carla Wehbe), the heartbreaking track is built upon spatial production with Alice's spellbinding vocals floating above. Exploring loss and heartbreak, vivid lyricism paints the picture of a relationship that met its demise, building to massive final chorus.

Speaking of the track, the singer shares: “Hold On is from a previous chapter in my life, it was written the day Maribelle and I wrote Circles in 2019 - I was 15, in the same living room, with the same people and I think there’s something really special about this song because of that factor. The song itself is written about loss, whether it’s heartbreak or in other ways. Sometimes people leave and you can’t get them back, they’re gone for good, sometimes it feels like you’re drowning in the tide, or you just can’t make up your mind, all of your thoughts are empty and frozen till you start to heal, so I guess the best message you can give yourself is to hold on, and it’s always important you do.”

Kicking off in Brisbane on May 18, the run of shows will continue on to Sydney and Adelaide, before wrapping up in Melbourne on June 2. Tickets are on sale now!

Growing Pains is out February 18! Listen to Hold On below.
