Melbourne-based multi-hyphenate G FLIP (Georgia Flipo) has released her new track, You and I. The queer love anthem is a sentimental ode to the singers past relationship. Recounting moments of a relationship, the sweet and emotional track follows the musicians first release of 2020, Hyperfine and its epic remix.

When talking of the track, the singer shared: “You & I is a LGBTQIA+ love anthem. It’s about being able to look at someone and the whole world just becomes background noise to your epic love story and it feels like it’s only you and that other person standing on the planet. It’s a highlight reel of beautiful moments to me. It’s extremely bittersweet as I wrote this song when I was crazy in love and I’m currently healing from a break up. It was written in a couple of hours while I was in London with a producer named Bastian....and it's my mum's favourite song”

Bursting onto the scene only two years ago, the vocalist and drummer released her debut album, About Us, in August last year. The album debuted #6 on the ARIA Albums Chart, #1 on the ARIA Vinyl Chart and was Feature Album on triple j. Earlier this year, G Flip secured four places in the triple j Hottest 100 (#6 Drink Too Much, #58 Lover, #66 Stupid, #77 I Am Not Afraid). Since beginning her musical career, G Flip has embarked on five sold-our national tours, recireved three ARIA Award nominations and performed at festivals worldwide, including Neon Lights, Lollapalooza, Splendour in the Grass, Laneway Festival, SXSW, and more.
