Award-winning Nigerian artist Fireboy DML is offering up a new rework of his hit single Peru, with 4x GRAMMY award-winning superstar Ed Sheeran lending his talents to the track. The new version arrives just in time for the musicians debut North American tour next February.
Laced with Fireboy DML's smooth vocals atop mid-tempo Afrobeat percussion, the soulful track documents a worldwide love story as he travels from nation to nation with the woman he desires. Sheeran's addition perfectly compliments Fireboy DML, as the two deliver mesmerising vocal performances and feed off each others energy and charm.
"It has been a dream knowing Ed Sheeran is a fan of my sound and having him jump on a song that was inspired by me traveling the world,” the musician shares. “Not only is this an exciting moment for me, but also for Afrobeats. I hope this is the first of many collaborations with Ed and other artists around the globe, and I can't wait for everyone to enjoy this song during the holidays."
The release arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Gabriella Kingsley. We follow both artists as they meet up at a warehouse in London and party the night away.
