DMA'S UNVEIL 'APPOINTMENT' VISUAL

Image: Andy Cotterill

Aussie legends DMA's have unveiled the music video for their song, Appoinment. Featuring on the bands third studio album, The Glow, the song is a sweet track about waiting for the one you love, sonically seeing the band return to their earlier style and continued love for 90’s sounds.

Directed by Patrick Santamaria and Eva Li, the visual includes animations by Santamaria, Li, Jenny Kim and Billy Ryan, as well as archival footage shot by the band and Adam 'Rudy' Udovich. We see scenes of the band in their hometown of Sydney, with the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge serving as a back drop. The visual is made complete with found footage from Oliver Workman, taspaul, timmy6cavs, and Ollie.

Speaking of the track and its visual, band member Matthew Mason shares: "I was staying out of the city ad a friends house when I wrote Appointment on a very old piano. The lyrics are about an early memory and these visuals 100% capture what's meaningful about the song... it's archival, nostalgic and romantic."

The trio recently announced the release of a brand spanking new live record, Live at Brixton. Following huge fan demand, the live album will be officially released on Friday 5 March, celebrating the one-year anniversary of their headline show at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, which saw the band play to a sold-out crowd of 5,000.

The record will be released as a very limited vinyl pressing, a double 'Smoked-Pink' LP set in a gatefold full of images from their now infamous London show. Inspired by a flare that was set off during the show, the ‘Smoked-Pink’ vinyl is one for the avid collectors amongst us and expected to sell fast.

Live at Brixton features recordings of early favourites including In The Air and Lay Down as well as tracks from their hugely successful 5 x ARIA nominated album THE GLOW. The band are set to make their grand return to the stage this year, beginning with a headline UK tour, which includes a huge 10,000 capacity gig at London’s Alexandra Palace, followed by their largest Australian headline tour to date this September and October.

Live at Brixton is available to pre-order here. Watch the music video for Appointment below!
