Melbourne-based artist Dirty Versachi has delivered another dance floor banger just in time for party season, with the release of Permission. The track sees the musician team up with their longtime friend and collaborator Mo•Louie.
C0-produced by Andrew McEwan (Huntly) and Moses Carr, the club ready track continues the musicians intergalactic inspired sonic exploration, built upon a driving beat and euphoric production. Conceptually, Permission navigates walking away from a toxic relationship and finding power on your own path. Versachi's mesmerising vocals are delicately intertwined with a bewitching performance from Mo•Louie, whose vocals reach new heights. The release arrives alongside a neon-lit visual, with both artists taking on the roles of extraterrestrial beings.
Speaking of the release, the musician shares: “Permission is a quirky dance floor bop about not needing validation and choosing to leave a relationship even if it feels really hard to do; it’s about powerfully choosing to surrender and not needing permission to do so.”
Paving their own sonic brand of Cyberdelica, Dirty Versachi takes us out of this world with each release, bringing together moments of intimacy and vulnerability above simmering soundscapes that will have you dancing all night long. The musician also hopes to create a safe and inviting space for audiences to truly express themselves and celebrate who they are, proving themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the queer and non-binary community.
