Singer-songwriter Didirri has treated us to a stripped back performance of his moving single, Begin Again.
The intimate performance clip finds the musician seated at his piano, luring us in with his soothing and captivating tones, before hypnotic orchestral work begins to swell beneath. Serving as the first taste of what to expect from the musicians long-awaited debut album, the introspective releases sees the musician bare all, offering up his most intimate thoughts as he uncovers an inner rebirth.
“Old feelings can become as fresh as they ever were by a touch in the right place or by the look in their eyes. There has been a rebirth in me. A new (and old) sense of creativity, of purpose and of love. I wrote Begin Again in the midst of the pandemic, a learning time in so many ways. I came to the quiet conclusion that starting with a complex ending in mind is a foolish way of being. Always begin from a place of simplicity, if the core of the idea, relationship or path feels good then you are surely on the way.” the musician shares.
Kicking off at Melbourne's The Nightcat on June 17, the musicians run of headline shows will continue on to Sydney on June 24, before closing out the tour in Brisbane on June 30. Didirri is also set to take to the stage an Pelly Bar this weekend, with performances at Inverloch Glade and Gumball Festival next month.
