Country music duo Dan + Shay have unveiled their hotly-anticipated fourth studio album, Good Things. Featuring the previously released singles 10,000 hours, I Should Probably Go to Bed, Glad You Exist, Good Things and Lying, the reflective release arrives just in time for the duos return to the over the weekend.
Across the twelve tracks, Dan + Shay bring soothing melodies atop warm and nostalgic country sonics, whilst weaving in threads of pop effortlessly laced throughout the album. The fusion of genres allows the duo to flex their musicianship and songwriting prowess, having also enlisted the likes of Julia Michaels and Shawn Mendes on co-writing duties, with Justin Bieber appearing as a guest vocalist.
Speaking of the release, the duo shared: "We poured every bit of our hearts into this project and have never been more excited for anything in our entire lives."
The musical project of Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, the pair first joined forces in 2013, releasing their debut album, Where It All Began, in 2014. With another two records under their belt, 2016's Obsessed and their 2018 self-titled album, the duo took home the Grammy Award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, for three consecutive years across 2019-2021 for Tequila, Speechless, and 10,000 Hours. Smyers also takes on production duties across their releases, this time alongside Jason Evigan, Scott Hendricks, and Jordan Reynolds.
