Margot Robbie, Greta Gerwig, America Ferrera and Issa Rae will be hitting Sydney later this month!
Come on Barbie, let's go party! To celebrate the release of Director/Writer Greta Gerwig's hotly-anticipated film, BARBIE, starts Margot Robbie, America Ferrera and Issa Rae will be joining Gerwig to host the ultimate Barbie party right here in Sydney.
Taking over Westfield Sydney Pitt Street Mall on Friday June 30, fans will have the opportunity to see the stars in an exclusive fan event, dubbed ‘Barbie’s Best Day Ever at Westfield Sydney’. Gerwig, Robbie, Ferrera and Rae will be discussing all things Barbie, with fans encouraged to don their best Barbie inspired looks, and bring their own dolls to the event. Vogue Australia is also set to host the talent at a party to celebrate the iconic style of Barbie, on- and off-screen, and the cultural impact Barbie has had on the fashion industry.
Directed by Gerwig, Barbie stars Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell. The film is written by Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, based on “Barbie” by Mattel, and produced by David Heyman, Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley and Robbie Brenner. Barbie will hit cinemas across Australia on July 10.
The films soundtrack, dubbed BARBIE: THE ALBUM, was executive produced by internationally renowned DJ and Oscar, Golden Globe and 7x GRAMMY® award winning artist and producer, Mark Ronson and Gerwig. Serving as a partnership between Atlantic Records and Warner Bros. Pictures, BARBIE: THE ALBUM will feature original music from Charli XCX, KAROL G and Aldo Ranks, Tame Impala, Dominic Fike, HAIM, The Kid LAROI, Khalid, PinkPantheress, GAYLE, Ava Max and FIFTY FIFTY and Kali. Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice will team up with Aqua, the group behind the iconic Barbie Girl, with more songs and artists to be revealed.
