Director, star and Academy-Award winner Russell Crowe, was joined by cast members Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games franchise), Elsa Pataky (Fast and Furious franchise) and Daniel MacPherson (Foundation) at the Australian premiere Stan's Poker Face in Sydney last night.
Shot in New South Wales, the film tells the story of Jake Foley (Crowe), a gambler who offers his best friends a chance to win more money than they’ve ever dreamed of. But to play, they’ll have to give up the one thing they spent their lives trying to keep… their secrets. The film serves as Crowe's second directorial effort, and also stars Jack Thompson (High Ground), RZA (The Man with the Iron Fists), Aden Young (Rectify), Steve Bastoni (Fires), Brooke Satchwell (upcoming Stan Original Series Black Snow), Paul Tassone (The Code), Matt Nable (upcoming Stan Original Film Transfusion, The Dry), Benedict Hardie (Joe vs. Carole), Jacqueline McKenzie (Stan Original Series Bloom) and Molly Grace (Savage River).
Also in attendance at last nights premiere was Natalie Imbruglia, Beau Ryan, Carlos Sanson Jr, Roxy Jacenko, Damon Herriman, Sam Burgess, George Burgess, Luke Burgess, Gabby Brooks, Thomas Cocquerel, Renee Bargh, Talijah Blackman-Corowa, Ziggy Ramo, Danielle Spencer, Alexander England, Fayssal Bazzi, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Kick Gurry, Yannick Samarasinghe, Zara Zoe, Sophia Forrest, Oscar Mitchell, Zack Grech, Bede Warnock and more.
