COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE NINTH STUDIO ALBUM ‘MUSIC OF THE SPHERES’

Their new track Coloratura is set to land this Friday!

Legendary British rockers Coldplay have announced the release of their highly anticipated ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres.


The announcement was accompanied by an official album trailer, and the promise of a new track, Coloratura, set to arrive this Friday. The colourful and vibrant visual takes viewers on a journey through outer space, with different planets and celestial formations offering snippets of the albums. 12 tracks.



The Max Martin-produced album appears to have a sci-fi theme, which began with the release of their latest single, Higher Power. The song was premiered on the International Space Station, with the band linking up with French ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet for the historic moment, the four-piece and Pesquet discussed similarities between life on tour and life on the ISS, planet earth and extraterrestrial life.


Speaking of the record, the band shared: "Hello everyone, we hope you're doing really well. We have a new album called Music of the Spheres (Vol.I.) coming out on Friday 15th October, 2021. It is produced by Max Martin. Wthere is a trailer for the album called Overtura which you can watch or listen to now if you like. Then on Friday an album track called Coloratura.
