South Coast musician Alex Johnson has shared the latest track from his musical project, Coast and Ocean. LOST continues the musicians unique fusion of R&B, surf hip-hop and soul, resulting in a cruisy new track that wants you to get lost in a positive mindset.
Johnson shares: “I wanted to give a new positive meaning to being LOST and what it means to discover yourself….. off the back of a global pandemic where people have experienced being lost by other means ie. lost in fear, hurt, pain and sadness, the timing could not be any more perfect for the release of LOST which is a beacon of light to send a positive message to people all around the world that they too can get LOST in a world of Love, Happiness, Health, joy and abundance.”
To celebrate the release, the musician will be hitting the road this month, bringing his live show nationwide for a number of headline shows. Kicking off this Friday at a secret location in Brisbane, the tour will continue on to Byron Bay, Brisbane, Cairns, Newcastle and Sydney, before wrapping up in Perth on May 20.
The release arrives alongside an official visual, directed by Carl Tomish. Johnson takes us on a drive around the streets of the Gold Coast in the pastel pink visual, feeling like we're on a chilled date with the musician.
"This Music Video is the most fun party I've ever experienced, I was styled, pampered, and fed. I gave up alcohol and really focused on all the good things in my life." Johnson says of the visual. "My team is the most amazing crew of humans, I am truly blessed, I was asking the universe for a music video like this one, drone shots, a big yacht, my friends and a huge party to celebrate the new single!... The universe delivered. That’s all I wanted to do and we did it. I Had the time of my life!"
Since releasing his first single Lindsay Lohan in 2017, Coast and Ocean has achieved remarkable success with over 700,000+ streams of his singles. He has toured across Australia, New Zealand, Europe and South East Asia and supported the likes of Lime Cordiale, Hot Potato Band, Lyall Moloney, Ty Dolla $ign, PeachFurr, and Dylan Joel.
