Everyones favourite disco cult leaders Client Liaison are hitting the road! Following the cancellation of their planned 2021 tour, the duo will be bringing an intimate show to audiences across the east coast on their An Intimate Night Of Divine Intervention tour.
Kicking off at The Triffid in Brisbane, the run of shows will continue on to Melbourne and Hobart, before wrapping up at Sydney's Metro Theatre on May 20. Tickets are on sale from 9am tomorrow. The duo recently appeared at THIS THAT festival in Sandstone point and Newcastle, where we caught up with Client Liaison to speak of their return to the stage.
“Welcome to the cult of ClientLiaison. A world unto itself, inviting you inwards to question yourself and think twice. Where business is the new religion and absurdity the new norm. Where fashion is your liberator and music is the door to your salvation. No matter your frustrations, no matter your emotional state, come with us and witness this transcendental search. We are your spiritual guides to a more positive and enlightened life. Working off your collective energy, positivity, and pure expression. Quenching your insatiable desire for excess and leading you to a new way of living.” the band share.
Divine Intervention is another sizzling collection of bangers from the Melbourne-based duo, full of fun, energetic and nostalgic tracks that perfectly accompanies the thematic nature of the record. Opening with a cult-like welcome message, the main conceptual thread that masterfully woven throughout the record is the joining of ones body and soul to create the ultimate human experience. With vivid nostalgic production and smooth vocals, Divine Intervention storytelling lyricism conjures radiant imagery, laced with holy references that lean into the overarching concept of reaching divinity. The album is also a celebration of the avant-garde and the liberation that music can bring, laced with influences from INXS and George Michael that fuse together 80’s rock with groovy threads of of new-wave dance-rock.
Divine Intervention is out now. Watch our interview with Monte Morgan from Client Liaison below!
