Hotel Surrender is out next month!

Five-time ARIA award-winner and chart-topper producer, songwriter and artist Chet Faker has unveiled another track from his forthcoming forthcoming album, Hotel Surrender. Produced by FREENJOY (The Weeknd, Ariana Grande, Doja Cat, Travis Scott), his new single Feel Good arrives alongside an official video, showing the musician rollerblading in the golden Californian desert sunset.
The musical project of Nick Murphy, Chet Faker's new record comes after the musician returned from a six-year hiatus in late 2021. Self-produced and self-written by the musician, Hotel Surrender will arrive with ten new tracks, including the previously released singles Low and Get High, set to bring all of that Chet Faker goodness with swaggering bass lines and electrifying melodies. Whatever Tomorrow, the third single from the project, brings slow, punchy production that simmer below Murphy's signature crooning vocals and spoken word verses. On the track, he addresses our future’s ambivalence head-on, with the songs visual set to mirror the themes explored.
Due out this July, Faker shares of the record: “There were a lot of heavy perspective shifters for me. I really just thought of the music in a different light. I look at it as a mass therapy now. I think I used to see it as this plight, like I was on a crusade or this creative odyssey. Now I see that it’s more Shamanistic. You’ve got to find some light—or sometimes dark, whatever’s right—and share it. I realized that was the heart of the ChetFaker project. And I felt like the world was hurting, so I thought, ‘I can do a small something to give people some joy.'”
Murphy's Chet Faker project first appeared in 2012 with the Thinking in TexturesEP, winning him Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Best Independent Single/EP at the AIR Awards. His 2014 debut studio album Built on Glass debuted at number one on the Australian ARIA Charts, and appeared three times in the top ten of triple j’s Hottest 100, taking out the top spot for Talk Is Cheap.
