19-year old singer-songwriter Budjerah has announced he's hitting the road! With his debut EP out tomorrow, the musician will be touring the release this May and June. The announcement comes alongside the release of an official visual for Budjerah's latest single, Higher.

Directed by Mick Soiza the clip brings all the fun of the disco days, with the musician performing the track from within a glittering roller derby, surrounded by skating dancers whilst his phenomenal vocals taking centre stage. “I wanted to make the music video for Higher super fun to match the energy of the song. When I hear the song I see people partying in a disco and roller skating. It was really fun to film,” Budjerah shares..

Kicking off in Adelaide on May 14, Budjerah will take to the stage in Fremantle, Melbourne, Sydney, Byron Bay and the Gold Coast, before wrapping his debut tour up in Brisbane. Having supported the likes of Lime Cordiale and Thelma Plum, the musician is fast becoming known for his mesmerising live performances, showcasing his stellar vocals and skilful musicianship. He will also be performing an exclusive set at Euroa Music Festival this weekend.

Budjerah sees the musician continue his collaborative efforts with ARIA and J Award-winning artist Matt Corby, who produced the body of work. The pair worked tirelessly on the EP, crafting the sound that would introduce the world to Budjerah’s musical abilities. “In my music, I think of how I'm going to use my voice as an instrument before the melody and anything else. Matt is classically trained, so he pushed me vocally. We both really like the real, organic sounds of instruments.” the singer shares.

Higher is out now! Watch the visual below.
