Melbourne born, LA-Based artist and producer Bobi Andonov has dropped his new single, Anymore, alongside the announcement of his sophomore EP SAINT. We caught up with the musician in Sydney to chat about the release. Stay tuned for our full interview, coming soon.
Inspired by the Bee Gee’s, Anymore takes a brighter sonic approach when compared to Andonov's previous dark-pop releases. His sweet falsetto vocals float above sparse and atmospheric production that builds towards a driving beat and engaging synth work. The track explores the realisation that a relationship is no longer sustainable, and making the decision to move on. The release arrives alongside a one-take visual, directed by Adam Saunders at Killa Kreative.
“I wanted to explore a complex, ambiguous, and even poetic lyric with the feel of a Bee Gee’s like stacked melody, thrown into a stripped, alt / bedroom mix. I loved the exercise of writing an entire hook in high, falsetto harmony. I like the contrast between that and the rougher part of my voice.” Andonov shares.
SAINT is out May 9! Watch the visual for Anymore below.
