New York City multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, and bass virtuoso Blu DeTiger has dropped her new single, Cotton Candy Lemonade. The track follows up the musicians hit single, Figure It Out.
Written during the COVID-19 pandemic where the singer found herself isolated, Blu’s hypnotic vocals seamlessly go hand in hand with her preeminent bass skills. On the effortylessly cool track, the singer flirts with the idea of leaving the rest of the world behind with a new romance.
“The song was written at a point when everyone was stuck at home — and I wanted to explore what it meant to ‘get lost,’” The singer shared of the track. “It taps into the fantasy of running away to a perfect place with your perfect someone, whether it be a friend, a lover, a partner, or stranger. I’m excited for this release because I co-produced the song. I want the listener to get lost in the song itself.
A New Yorker through and through, the singer began playing the bass guitar at the age of seven. By the time she was 17, you could find Blue behind the decks playing clubs and performing sets within the fashion and creative scene. Having been a touring member for multiple artists, including Caroline Polachek, Fletcher and The Knocks, the singer is ready to take centre stage and gift the world with her own music.
