K-pop supergroup BLACKPINK are back! The iconic four-piece have released their new single, Pink Venom, alongside news of their sophomore album and a world tour. And yes, they'll be heading down under!
The dynamic cut brings the groups signature commanding vocal performances, opening with chants before leading into an explosive opening rap verse. The track references a number of pop-hits, sampling Rihanna's Pon De Replay and making a nod to Taylor Swift's Look What You Made Me Do. BLACKPINK always deliver on their visuals, transporting us to a dystopian realm that serves as the backdrop for their tight choreography.
Kicking off in South Korea on October 15, the groups world tour will continue on to North America, Europe, Thailand, China, the Middle East, South East Asia, before ending in Australia and New Zealand. Blackpink will take to the stage in Melbourne on June 10th and 11th, before heading to Sydney for two more performances on June 16th and 17th.
"A lot of BLACKPINK-esque music has been prepared over a long period of time. On top of new music and large-scale projects, BLACKPINK will also go on the largest world tour in the history of a K-pop girl group by the end of the year to expand their rapport with fans worldwide.” YG Entertainment shared last month.
BORN PINK is out September 16!
