American singer-songwriter and rising pop star Benson Boone is heading to Australia! The musician will touch down on our shores later this month in support of his debut EP, Walk Me Home….
Marking his first ever Australian shows, Boone will take to the stage at Sydney's The Lansdowne on September 29 and Melbourne's The Toff on October 1, before crossing the Tasman to play a show in Auckland the following night. Supported by emerging singer-songwriter Carla Wehbe, tickets go on sale tomorrow morning at 11am AEST local time.
Across the collection of songs, Boone explores navigating life as a young adult, touching on themes of love, heartbreak and loneliness, whilst finding your own path in life. The musicians powerful and captivating vocals soar above dynamic soundscapes, laced with glistening melodies and emotive production that drives the EP's thematic touchpoint.
“Walk Me Home… is a very important body of work to me. The reason I named it ‘Walk Me Home…’ is because most of the time writing these songs I felt lost. I’m very young, I’m at the beginning of a long journey, and I don’t know where it will lead. Sometimes I feel like I just need a little bit of guidance and when I first started writing this EP, I felt very alone. As I began to write more and more, towards the end I felt like these songs were becoming therapy for me and I was finding myself in the music. This is a body of work that I am very proud of, and I now feel like I’ve made it home.” the musician shares.
Having signed to Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds label, Night Street Records, a partnership with Warner Records. Reynolds serves as a mentor to Boone, overseeing the musicians A&R both sonically and visually. Boone's single GHOST TOWN made waves in Australia, Canada, Denmark, the UK, Sweden, and Norway, where it reached #1, and entered the Billboard Hot 100 in the U.S.
