Australian based singer/songwriter Ben Hazlewood has teamed up with fellow Aussie dance hitmakers NERVO for a new remix of his track, Lay Me Down. The release is accompanied by an official visual. The intoxicating mix comes after the release of Hazlewoods latest record, 2020's Bloodline.
Speaking of the release, NERVO share: “We love what Ben has been doing and are honoured to remix his track, Lay Me Down. It’s always nerve-wracking to work on originals that are so well written and have so much heart in them”.
Co-written with Katie Carr, the track touches on mental health themes, a topic close to Hazlewood's heart: “Mental health is a real issue during this time, with people not having usual outlets of expression or access to support,” Hazlewood explains. An advocate for marginalised voices across the spectrum, Hazlewood makes it a point to create music that inspires its listeners to live in their truth, no matter what it may be.
