Melbourne indie-pop band Approachable Members Of Your Local Community have got you covered today with new music and a tour announcement. Their new single Just Say It, sees the bands latest addition Sage Mellet take centre stage. Mellet's bewitching vocals float above a mesmerising bass line and refined production.
"In this interconnected world, with computers and the NBN, one thing is clear to the Members: now is the time for the nimble communicator; the reformist collaborator. Don’t bottle things up. Just say how you feel. We can change, and quickly – what we do, who we see, what we care about. But how do you keep your friends along for the journey? When people start to feel insecure in a relationship and turn things over in their head, things can get out of hand. 'Just Say It’ is about that tension – and breaking through it, the only way the Community knows how: honest and open communication.” the band share of their latest offering.
Kicking off at Sydney's The Lansdowne on February 4, the run of shows will continue on to Wollongong, Geelong and Melbourne, before wrapping up in Brisbane on February 18. Tickets to all shows will go on sale at 12pm on Friday 12th November.
Alongside song arrives an official visual, shot entirely by the five-piece. "As you can see, we made a video. We agree, it’s incredible. You can Just Say It, it’s fine. We put it together the second restrictions lifted. Sage found an old camera lying around her place and Sam got to work on his moves – the twirl, the pivot-zoom, and his signature ‘sprint at you with the camera.’ It’s our first clip that’s completely home-spun, and we think it might just light a fire that burns for one thousand years – a fire of groove.”
