Sydney alt-country rocker Andy Golledge has blessed us all with his debut album, Strength Of A Queen. To celebrate the release, the musician has teamed up with Young Henrys to produce a limited edition Young Henrys ‘AG Draught’ ahead of his album launch at Marrickville Bowlo tonight.

Produced by Ryan Miller and John Vella (Angus & Julia Stone, The Delta Riggs, The Jezabels), Strength Of A Queen is the culmination of fifteen years of hard work and dedication to his craft. Laced with rambunctious moments juxtaposed by vulnerable shades, Golledge brings vivid storytelling lyricism to the collection of songs built upon twangy guitar melodies and hypnotic percussion. The record captures the feel-good energy Golledge has been bringing to the stage throughout his career, creating a warm and nostalgia fuelled listening experience as he documents the twists and turns of life and love.

“The band and I are super excited to be releasing Strength Of A Queen. It’s a journey of love and self-discovery: the culmination of years of hard work, writing and performing both by myself and with the band. Although the songs span approximately 15 years, they’ve never felt more alive and ready to be set free.” the musician shares of the body of work.

Golledge and his band will hit the road on his Strength Of A Queen tour this March/April. Kicking off at Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge on March 10, the run of shows will continue on to Eltham, Tamworth, Hobart, Melbourne, Euroa, Bambra, Newcastle and Wollongong, before wrapping up at Sydney's Lansdowne Hotel on April 9. Tickets are on sale now.

‘AG Draught’ is a blend of old school Aussie malt and hops, guaranteeing a clean and crisp taste without the hassle, and will only be available at all tour dates, excluding for festival performances. “About 10 years ago, our small Young Henrys fam were dancing, singing and testing out our newly built tasting bar, singing along to a local country artist which Richard (YH co-founder) had asked to play his 40th Birthday. That local muso (who'd played for beers as I remember it) was none other than Andy Golledge. Now a country music icon and Newtown hero, we're pretty bloody proud to brew AG Draught in celebration of our long-time mate Andy Golledge and his debut album Strength of A Queen. This record will hands down be one of my favourite releases this year!”, says co-founder, Oscar McMahon

Strength Of A Queen is out March 4.
