Meanjin-based artist Yb. recently dropped his new single, Change Your Mind, serving as the first taste of his debut EP. To celebrate the release, the musician has shared with MILKY five things you will never be able to change his mind about.
“Change Your Mind in its essence is about emotional acceptance. Written into the song, is a series of challenging feelings and realisations. These lyrics follow an interaction between two parties battling their internal sentiments, ultimately leading to ‘the singer’ accepting that they are not in control of the tendencies of another.”

The first thing is rollercoasters! No, never, no thank you! It’s just not possible. I don’t see why people do it. Don’t you wanna feel the earth beneath you? Don’t you wanna feel safe? I’ll take this one to the grave.

The second is that anything Kate Bollinger releases is a certified banger! If you haven’t already heard of her, I suggest you check her out RIGHT NOW. She will change your perspective on music. If you disagree, no you didn’t.

The third thing is a pad se ew! Those who know me are fully aware of this addiction. I’ve never had a bad one and I don’t ever think I ever will! I’m a damn fool for Asian cuisine and you can never change my mind on the pad se ew being the best dish to ever exist.

The forth is ‘Community’. It is by far the greatest tv series I’ve ever watched and it still holds up years years after. If anything it’s too easy to binge so make sure you free up your next month!

And my last thing is a good bass line! Any song with an interesting, full or funky bass line will always have a special place in my heart. Time and time again I find that I come back to songs with interesting bass lines cause I just can’t get enough of them!
