Australian superstars 5 Seconds Of Summer are celebrating their 10th anniversary of their formation in a massive way! Over the past week, the band have been sharing vlogs that detail each year of the bands history, working backwards from the present to their beginnings ten years ago. Today, 5SOS have treated fans with a brand new track to celebrate the incredible milestone.

Their new single, 2011, recalls on a time before fame and success and want to go back to an easier time. The band will premiere the song in an exclusive live stream concert event tomorrow at 9am AEDT. The “10-year celebration” will mark the first live show from the band since the postponement of their world tour due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Appearing from Los Angeles, the event will feature live performances as well as a number of sketches that touch on their career.

“This year we’re celebrating 10 years of 5Seconds of Summer. Singlehandedly the best 10 years of our lives. So to honour every experience, lesson and person we’ve encountered we decided to make The 5 Seconds of Summer show. Something that captures the pursuit of creation, the love of the relationship we have with our fans and the endless boundary of what it means to be in a band. Above all else we were once again rediscovering how beautiful it is to be able to share our story together. Alongside that we will release a song called 2011 which is an homage to the past, and a nod to what we have in store to the future. We’ve loved every minute of being in this band. Here’s to another ten years of 5 Seconds of Summer.” the band share.

With four chart-topping albums under their belt, 5SOS have spent the last ten years touring the world and forming a legion of fans everywhere they go. The four-piece have taken home ten European Music awards, five ARIA awards, two MTV Video Music Awards, an American Music Award, a People’s Choice Award, two iHeartRadio Music Awards, and three APRA Awards. They've sold over 2.5 million concert tickets, more than 12 million albums, and joined Spotify’s exclusive Billions Club with their hit single ‘Youngblood’.
