US artist Wallice has unveiled her new EP, Mr Big Shot. We caught up with the singer earlier this year whilst she was touring Australia with The 1975 to unpack the release, her artistry, her forthcoming Australian headline tour and so much more!
Across the body of work, Wallice delves deeper into her alt-led sound, full of brash guitar work and propulsive percussion unfurling beneath the singers luring vocals. With threads of pop woven throughout, dynamic soundscapes fuel the EP's ambitious energy and capture the thematic exploration of the release. Wallice explores coming of age and growing up in modern times, brought to life by vivid lyricism that darts between witty one liners and relatable cadences.
Having performed to sold-out Australian crowds earlier this year supporting The 1975, Wallice will return to our shores this October for a string of headline shows and festival performances. The singer will take to the stage at Brisbane's The Brightside on October 13, and Melbourne's Northcote Social Club on October 14, before performing at SXSW Sydney on October 18. Wallice is also set to appear at Yours & Owls Festival in Wollongong on October 15.
