A whole bunch of Aussie talent are teaming up to raise awareness for homeless children and young people. The Instagram live stream event, hosted by Ciaran Lyons, kicks off at 4pm AEST today! Each artist will remotely log into @bigtop_sydney for the digital concert.

The all-star line up includes Lime Cordiale, Mashd N Kutcher, Lisa Mitchell, Boo Seeka, Ali Barter, Tyne-James Organ, Hein Cooper, Fergus James and newcomers Powderworks. Max Curtis, a member of Powderworks, faced homelessness in his teens and with the support of Taldumande Youth Services, now lives independantly. He formed the band with Logan Pola-Smith and Samuel Cabrera.

Based in Northern Sydney and the Northern Beaches, Taldumande supports vulnerable and homeless children and young people aged 12-21, and their families. Taldumande offers a variety of housing programs as well as support services for youth in need.

The event was organised by Comedian and Triple J radio Ciaran Lyons who recently took part in the acclaimed SBS TV series, Filthy, Rich and Homeless. Affected by his time on the streets, Lyons was inspired by the efforts of Taldumande, he made the decision to organise Taldumande Concert for Homeless Kids.

In a statement, Lyons said “I am honoured to become an Ambassador for Taldumande Youth Services and I hope the concert, will give Australians an insight into the challenges faced by homeless children and young people, while also raising much needed funds for Taldumande.”

Make sure to tune in today, 4pm AEST on Big Top Luna Park’s official Instagram, @bigtop_sydney.
