Field Day is back for another year, taking over The Domain on New Years Day to kick off 2026 in style. To celebrate, Sydney-based DJ Tomgraaam is sharing with us his top five tips for attending the festival.
Making its debut in 2026 is CAMP GROUND, a new stage dedicated to Sydney’s queer talent. Explaining its creation, organisers Fuzzy said, “Field Day has always been a space where LGBTQIA+ communities are welcome and celebrated. Queer artists and revellers have been a big part of Field Day’s 25 years of success, we’re thrilled to honour that by introducing CAMP GROUND to the festival in 2026 - curated by and for LGBTQIA+ communities, spotlighting some of Sydney’s best.”
Field Day, celebrating its 25th year in 2026, has always remained aware of the community pull that electronic and dance music has strongly maintained in Australia. Having produced some of the world’s most exciting acts and producers in recent years, this music is having a transcendent moment both in Australia and overseas.

ONE
Dress smart for a hot day under the sun! I always love to find a cute look, shirt to wear on that day. Wearing short with zippers and sneakers is a must: it’s gonna be hot and I’ll be dancing all day long.
TWO
Screenshot the set times and plan my day: there’s always some artists I absolutely don’t want to miss at Field day. I’m always the one telling my friends where we should go. My iPhone has a lot of screenshots like that
THREE
Get my bumbag ready: nothing in the short pockets, I don’t want to lose my phone (again). I’m usually using a running belt to put my phone (fully charged), gum, keys, usb stick (in case of after party), ear plugs - especially since I’m a dj, I want to protect my ears.
FOUR
Hydration!! Lot of dance, drinks and steps on the day. To make sure I stay hydrated, I grind some Himalayan sea salt in a big glass of water before heading to the Domain. You just feel good and full of energy with it. Also feels better the morning after,
FIVE
Since I will be playing on the camp ground at Field day, I’m bringing extra stuff: my headphones, 2-3 usb sticks with a playlist full of house music bangers, but also some groovy tracks to keep the energy high and electric during sunset.
See you there!!
