Gerringong five-piece The Terrys have shared the visual for their latest single IDK, filmed in partnership with NIDA. Directed by Alexei Ymer-Welsby, we follow the five-piece as they find themselves working within an up-scale restaurant and dealing with demanding customers.
“Working with Alexei, Soham and all the other amazing NIDA students was so surreal for us. When we rocked up on set I think we were all a little shell shocked, we’d never been in such a professional environment haha." the band share.
Ymer-Welsby adds, "Listing to IDK for the first time, it was impossible to not hear TheTerrys' free-wheeling rebelliousness, their playful spirit and their warm embrace of life's simple pleasures. This was our inspiration for the concept that is the 'IDK' video."
The energetic tune explores the weight and impact hurtful words can leave on one another, brought to life by the bands signature honest and conversational lyricism. Laced with sing-a-long melodies and shimmering guitar lines, the songs upbeat nature is sure to become a staple moment in the bands live show.
The Terrys are currently in the midst of first ever national tour, with a number of sold out shows. The five-piece will take to the stage in Melbourne tonight, before continuing on to Footscray, Hobart, Devonport, Launceston, Canberra, Sydney, the Gold Coast, the Sunshine Coast, Wollongong, Adelaide and Perth, before wrapping up the mammoth run in Margaret River on March 26.
