Aussie alt-rockers The Rubens are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut album with an exclusive fan event this Thursday in Sydney. The band have also released a new purple and white marbled vinyl pressing of the album, alongside an exclusive line of ‘Still Laying It Down' merchandise that will feature imagery from the album.

Taking over The Lord Gladstone Hotel in Chippendale, The Rubens will host a Q&A at the venue, with fans able to get their hands on on the limited edition vinyl and merchandise, and also enjoy an exhibition of images that captures the band throughout their career. The fun kicks off at 4:30pm, with the Q&A set to kick off at 6:00pm.

Over the weekend, The Rubens hosted their own festival, Valleyways. The event took over the bands hometown of Camden on September 10, with Middle Kids, Skeggs, Spiderbait, Slowly Slowly joining the five-piece for an evening of stellar live music. The local fun continues with a collaboration with boutique distillery Mountain Gin, which will see the release of a new gin, inspired by the record.

“As excited as we are for the future and the new music we are currently working on, we are bloody proud of where it all started and hope our awesome fans are pumped to get their hands on the reissue of our debut.” the band share.
