Melbourne-based folk duo Sunday Lemonade have dropped their new track, Runaway.
On the sincere cut, the track explores the uneasy emotions and tension that arises between a pair who hold feelings for one another, but are too afraid to act upon them. Built atop bright and brimming sonics, the duos harmonious vocals capture the hopeful longing thematically threaded throughout the song. Both members, Tyson and Loz, carve their own space to showcase their individual talents, before coming together in a perfect unity.
"Runaway is a pop/folk story of reciprocated but unspoken lust, exploring the fascinating hints and moments with another human yet frustrating lack of courage to actually act on it. The fairy tale dream of what would happen if that person would hurry up and grab your hand, take you on an adventure and you’d finally have the chance to fall in love." the duo share.
Having just embarked on a tour of Western Australia, Sunday Lemonade are set to take to the stage at Vinehop Festival in Melbourne alongside The Bamboos and Ash Grunwald. Taking place on November 12 and 13, tickets are on sale now!
