French-Korean songwriter and producer, spill tab has unveiled her new single, Hold Me, set to appear on her forthcoming debut album, ANGIE. To celebrate, the singer has shared with MILKY five albums that have shaped her sound and musical journey.

Hold Me was one of those special songs that poured out the day it was written," spill tab shares. "Sometimes songs take months or years to feel finished, I’m such an editor when it comes to my music, I love to cut and replace and add new parts here and there, or rewrite whole verses. But this one is really precious because it’s an honest snapshot of how I was feeling that day. I was sad and so lonely, and was processing a difficult breakup at that point. And so I love this song because it feels like a little world within a crystal, very honestly captured and well preserved.”

BON IVER - 22 A MILLION

One of the most influential records to my journey in music making. Feels so creative and explorative.

SAYA GRAY - 19 MASTERS

Just an incredibly beautiful piece of work, I love the attention to detail in not only the songwriting but production as well.

MOSES SUMNEY - AROMANTICISM

This was my on-repeat album when I was abroad in Prague, felt like it opened up my mind to how much texture you can create with just vocals and a few instruments.

ALEX G - GOD SAVE THE ANIMALS

I’m just a mega alex g fan and think every album is so special and interesting and beautifully written, his new album is no exception.

RADIOHEAD - AMNESIAC

This album is a masterclass in creating a unique special world with production and songwriting, I always find myself gravitating back to songs like You and whose army? and I might be wrong.

ANGIE is out May 16. Watch the visual for Hold Me below.
