Frankfurt four-piece Sacropolis kicked off the year with the release their new track, The Sinner, taken from the bands debut EP, due out this year. Now, the band have shared a cinematic visual for the track, created by the band with Alex Stoll and John Tewelde.
Building upon the sounds and themes explored in their previous releases, The Sinner builds itself upon harmonious and complementary guitar lines, vibrantly hovering bass sounds and powerful drums beneath an emotional vocal performance. Conceptually, the song finds its standpoint navigating times of uncertainty, touching on a mans search for forgiveness.
Comprised of brothers Jean (guitar) and Leon (bass) and longtime friends Ben (vocals and guitars) and Tom (drums and backing vocals), the band formed during their school years with the aim to create a straightforward, guitar-driven hybrid of indie pop and rock. The attitude of Sacropolis is light-hearted, just like their sound. The four lads write relieving songs with catchy melodies that spread a euphoric mood and a contagious recklessness. Sacropolis.
The Sinner is out now! Listen to the song below.
