REST FOR THE WICKED MAKE THEIR DEBUT WITH 'BONES'

The duo are heading on tour this August!

Melbourne artist Ben Townsend and Sydney based producer Tasker have teamed up to bring you their brand new musical project, No Rest For The Wicked. The duo have today shared their debut single, Bones, a genre-defying melodic track that arrives with an official visual.

Speaking of the track, Townsend shares: "Bones is about not being afraid of what’s coming next. Sometimes the best method of madness is to give in to the overwhelming feeling of fear you feel and mould it into something undeniably greater than yourself. It was written when I was in an excruciatingly hollow state of depression. The song is about my feelings of being scared to cross over to the other side, the anxieties and unknowingness of death,“

“It’s okay to not know who you are. It’s okay to not know what you’re doing or where you’re going. It’s okay to fuck up and forgive. There’s nothing wrong with laughing through the misery and crying when filled with joy. Life’s a strange and wondrous mystery,” adds Tasker.

Directed by Mushroom Creative, the visual places the duo within juxtaposing settings. We find Townsend within a graffiti stricken, neon-lit room, whilst Tasker resides on the other side of a plastic curtain, in a more subdued yet still erratic environment.

To mark the release, the duo will take to the stage for their debut headline shows this August in Sydney and Melbourne, before performing at the Grapevine Gathering tour this November. Tickets to the duos tour are on sale now.
